OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – After allegedly calling her children’s caretaker several times, the Oakland County mother who is accused of leaving her three children to live alone in a dirty house for years is back in court on Tuesday.
A judge’s order prohibiting Kelli Bryant from contacting her children or their caretaker was allegedly broken. Bryant is facing numerous accusations of child abuse and welfare fraud.
For reportedly calling the children’s caregiver ten times between March 8 and March 12, 2025, to discuss her children and her criminal case, Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald filed a request in the 50th District Court on Friday to terminate Bryant’s communication privileges.
Additionally, Bryant is charged with allowing other prisoners to contact the children’s caregiver on her behalf.
On a $50,000 bond, she is still being held at Oakland County Jail.
