Lewis Hamilton states that he does not feel pressured to demonstrate his worth as he begins his Ferrari career at the Australian Grand Prix, which kicks off the season.
After twelve seasons, in which they became the most successful team-driver combination in Formula 1 history, the seven-time champion departed from Mercedes.
Though the 40-year-old Brit won six of his drivers’ championships from 2014 to 2020, he has only claimed victory in two races since the onset of the 2022 season.
Hamilton stated in Melbourne: “I do not assume it will be easy. I don’t sense the pressure. I have no outside pressure. The pressure comes from inside and from my own goals.
“Proving anything to anyone is not my purpose for being here. I have done it repeatedly. I understand what is required to do quality work, and that is what I aim to provide—for myself and my family, as well as for this team that I truly believe deserves success.
They are highly motivated, and perhaps their level of success has not matched their expectations or merits. Only aiming to help achieve it.
