
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – Police in Oakland County were able to easily locate a man who was suspected of leaving a sexually explicit message on a girl’s car because he included his phone number.
At approximately 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, Auburn Hills police officers arrived at the Target on Brown Road in response to a report of a strange message left on a person’s vehicle.
They discovered that the note was sexually explicit after reading it. According to the police, the recipient of the note is younger than eighteen.
Police spoke with the suspect over the phone because the note included a phone number. Additionally, the communication was sexually explicit, according to the police.
The guy was still in a car in the Target parking lot, the officers discovered. In the vehicle, they discovered Thomas Mellick Hensler, a 38-year-old Clarkston resident.
Police claimed to have discovered suspected methamphetamine when apprehending him.
Hensler was accused of possessing a controlled narcotic, using a computer to conduct a crime, and sexually abusing children. A $25,000 cash or surety bail was established for him.
He must wear a GPS tether and is not allowed to return to the Target in Auburn Hills or interact alone with anybody less than 18 if bond is set.
His next court appearance is scheduled for March 27, 2025.
